We worship God, our Creator, Redeemer
and Sustainer,
gathering in the presence of God, to hear God's Word and respond to God's call on our lives. At Heald Green United Reformed Church we often see things a little differently, so if you feel church is 'not your thing' or if you haven't been for a while, don't worry. If you are looking for a welcoming place to worship, explore your spirituality, introduce your children to the Christian faith, or even get married, then we may be the place for you. Whoever you are, and wherever you are on life's journey, you will be warmly welcomed at our church.
And remember, our Faith is over
2000 years old.............but our Thinking isn't!
Sunday Worship Here at Heald Green United Reformed Church we recognise that each person is unique and we all relate to God in different ways. As a result the worship we offer is varied, to ensure there will be a warm welcome for everyone. Traditional Worship 10.30 am After our traditional service there is a chance for a drink and a chat before going home. And of course all our hot drinks are Fairtrade! Computer projection facilities are used to enhance our worship greatly, leading you through the service and often providing visual images to aid prayer and reflection or complement the Sermon. In addition, the church is fitted with an induction loop and large print hymnbooks for those with hearing or visual difficulties, and there is ample space for those using a wheelchair. And though all ages are most welcome to our Traditional Worship, to help those with children we also provide activities for younger worshippers during this service, so we hope our worship is as inclusive as possible and accessible to all. Finally, though our comfortable modern worship space helps ensure the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, it's the congregation who really extend the warm welcome to a service which we feel is both a much needed space to unwind and think in an often busy week, as well as a place of refreshment and challenge as we encounter God in our midst. Services for ChildrenServices of Thanksgiving, Dedication or Baptism (Sometimes called a Christening) When a new baby is born, our church wants to help your family to celebrate and thank God for this new life. Whether your family regularly attends church or not, we can create a service to suit you and your family's needs. To find out more about the different services we offer, download our new booklet, 'a service for your child', or drop into church one Sunday to experience our warm welcome and collect a booklet in person. When you have read the booklet, please contact our Minister who will happily arrange to meet with you, to make plans for your special day. Weddings and Blessing Ceremonies Heald
Green United Reformed Church is an ideal venue for a contemporary
church wedding. Our modern church building, with its beautiful stained
glass window, has space for over 120 guests and is sure to add
something special to your big day.Whether this is your first marriage or not, we are able to help, and would love to be the venue for your wedding. Our minister will happily meet with you to discuss the service you require to ensure the ceremony is personal to you. And don't worry; a wedding with us won't cost the earth! If you live in or around the Heald Green area, why not pay us a visit one Sunday morning in order to see our beautiful church and grounds for yourself, but more importantly to experience our warm welcome and relaxed worship atmosphere. Finally, if you would prefer a civil ceremony elsewhere, but would like a blessing service in our church, then we'll happily discuss that with you too. For all enquiries, please contact our Minister to arrange an appointment.

Remember, whoever you are, and wherever you
are on life's journey, you're welcome here.
God bless, We hope to welcome you soon! Ecumenical WorshipOn the 3rd Sunday of the month, the churches of Heald Green meet together for worship, to learn and grow together in our fellowship and understanding of each others' traditions. The service starts at 6.30 pm and moves round the various church buildings each month. The style is informal and usually involves a coffee and discussion time as part of our worship and learning together. All are most welcome. See our 'Services' page each month for further details. The churches of Heald Green meet together for worship at other special occasions throughout the year; including a service as part of the Heald Green Summer Festival in July, our Community Carol Services in Rest Homes, St Ann's Hospice and even local Pubs, and not forgetting our very popular Carols Round the Tree in the centre of Heald Green Village on Christmas Eve, complete with all your favourite carols and a live Silver Band. All year round, the churches of Heald Green are working together to bring Good News to our community. For information on the many other projects we undertake together visit the Better Together section from our menu.
